Inside the Ankuai Factory: How Barrier Gates and Turnstiles Are Built and Tested
Every supplier claims "advanced production" and "strict quality control." Those words are free. Verifiable manufacturing is not. Here is what our factory actually consists of — and how you can check it.
Six automated production lines
- License plate recognition — materials, assembly and packaging handled automatically
- Barrier gate — intelligent assembly line
- Automated painting — unmanned spraying, docked automatically to the gate line, so coated parts reach assembly without manual handling
- UV printing — high-speed personalised printing for branded and advertising gates
- Flip gate / flap barrier — built for volume
- Turnstile — on anti-static flooring, because turnstile control boards and sensor arrays are static-sensitive
Dedicated automated lines are what make consistent tolerances possible at volume — a gate built on a shared manual bench does not hold the same repeatability at unit 500 as at unit 5.
The in-house test laboratory
Five tests do the real work: temperature/humidity, high/low temperature (rated -30°C to 80°C), waterproof (AK-P856: IP54; AKLPR001 camera: IP66), salt spray (the test that separates a painted chassis from a protected one) and leakage current (electrical safety on publicly accessible units).
Ask any supplier for the salt spray and waterproof test method and results. A supplier with a lab answers in detail. A supplier without one answers in adjectives.
Certifications and IP
ISO 9001:2015 · CE · SASO, CO, CCVO, SONCAP, FTA · FCS, IMSPP, GB · 200+ national patents · National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise · China Unmanned Parking Top 10 Brand.
These are schemes with document numbers. Ask for the certificate PDFs — a verifiable certificate beats a logo in a brochure.
Scale and durability
26,000 m² site · 50,000 m² workshop · 450+ employees including 50+ R&D engineers · 30,000+ units a month · 1,000 m² experience centre covering vehicle, pedestrian, channel, heavy-door and industrial-door solutions · 5 million open/close cycles rated on the AK-P856 mechanism · 73 distributors and 5 sub-companies for local service.
Capacity is a delivery-risk question. 30,000+ units a month is what stands behind lead times of around 5 working days for 1–50 sets, 7 for 50–100, 15 for 100–500.
Independent of our own claims, the factory holds audited supplier status following inspection by an independent third-party inspection agency, with verified business licences.
How to verify us yourself
- Request the certificates — PDFs with document numbers
- Request test reports — salt spray, waterproof, temperature/humidity, leakage current
- Book a factory visit or live video tour — walk the six lines and the lab yourself
- Order one unit — MOQ 1 unit, samples out in around 3 working days; test it on your own lane with your own plates
- Commission pre-shipment inspection — bring in SGS, TÜV or your own QC
- Talk to our distributors — export base across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America
What we do not claim
Recognition accuracy figures are quoted with their test conditions attached, because a percentage without conditions is meaningless. The guarantee is 1 year excluding artificial damage — not an unlimited warranty nobody honours.
You should be able to verify everything we tell you.
Next step. Request the certification pack, book a factory tour, or order a single unit to test.
